We showed up at the property in the morning after a 14 hours...

We showed up at the property in the morning after a 14 hours long flight. We only wanted to leave the luggage and come back in the afternoon to check in, but the property kindly offered to take us in as early as that, and gave us a different room to shower and get some rest until the room we booked was ready.

We couldn't figure out who is actually in charge. There is an English speaking person that we talked to on the phone on couple of occasions, but the personnel present at the reception does not speak any English. Using google translate led to misunderstandings.

The staff was friendly and really helpful.

The staff was friendly and really helpful. A girl, her name is Vicky I think, welcomed us, offered some water and helped us from the beginning to the end of our journey in Saigon. The room and the private bathroom were more than clean, bed comfortable and common spaces cozy and nice looking! This is definitely one of the best hostels I've ever been.

Everything was perfect!

Breakfast needs improving. Vietnam is famous for its wonderful fruit - offer fruit not packet noodles. Cleanliness could of been better, had to get bed sheets changed on check-in.

Value for money, relaxing, and it feels like home.

Hi, I would highly suggest Mai Home Hostel for backpackers and solo travellers. The staff are very friendly and accomodating, plus they can communicate in English pretty well. They also give care to their guests by guiding them properly on how to enjoy Vietnam safely and according to budget. Mai Home is located in District 1 and if you are looking for a homestay that is quiet and less crowded in the heart of the city, then you should really stay here. They offer free breakfast and their rooms are clean and relaxing too.. Thank you Mai Hostel; to William and Vicky, for the warm accomodation.

It would be great if there will be changed in the reception area's interior design: to make it more welcoming and a nice lounge for the guests.

Super nice hostel in district 1

The staff was very kind and helpful. They booked a tour for me. I arrived at 8am to leave my luggage before check in and they stored it safely for me. The room was nice and I slept well. It was clean. The photos might be a bit better than in reality, but it's really good value for money! What matters is that it's clean and the staff is good. Gerry speaks English well. I would definitely recommend this hostel!

Definitely not worth the money, there are much better place for the same money

Staff were friendly.

Room is not well maintained. Water leak to the floor from the toilet when flush. Did not even provide shampoo or wash soap, breakfast is not included.....Too far from actions

Fantastic.

The hosts were incredible, very welcoming and always on hand if needed. Nothing was too much trouble, they even took their time out to show us where is good to eat or where is good to visit. We didn’t leave HCMC until 22.00 however the hostel let us keep our bags here and even offered us a shower prior to our train journey. Fantastic place to stay with extremely attentive guests

We had enough bed for our three girls, and the facility was very secure. We forgot to get our passports back and they made a special trip to drop them at the airport

There was a share bathroom, and the door would hit the shower on button accidentally.
